Stacey has over a decade of experience in a variety of settings and with diverse clients, including both long-term and brief interventions. She provides psychotherapy for individuals- utilizing cognitive behavioral, humanistic, strength based, solution focused, and psychodynamic therapies..

Stacey has an extensive background as a social worker and case manager working in public schools, social services, home health, and behavioral health agencies where she learned to be a strong advocate and support for her clients. These clients have included: chronically mentally ill children and adults, at-risk elderly and disabled, children with special needs, phase of life changes, grief and loss, life stresses, and next steps. Other special interests include bereavement therapy, trauma, life transitions, spirituality, and maternal mental health. There are so many changes that happen as families grow and develop with the passing years, and Stacey is here to help with these transitions. Stacey believes that change happens when people are given the guidance they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling, happy lives.

Stacey provides an environment of compassion and support to help individuals overcome obstacles to move forward and thrive. Stacey takes primarily a person-centered view of psychotherapy and tries to honor each individual’s unique characteristics and strengths. As a therapist whose clients have spanned all age groups, from birth to seniors, two of her guiding principles are to “start where the client is” and that “you are the expert of your life”. Stacey speaks Haitian-Creole as a second language.

Breakthrough Care and Resource Center, Inc. is a minority-owned mental health group private practice that provides a comprehensive “thought partner” and therapist experience.
