Lyndia has several years’ experience working with and for challenging populations in outpatient counseling different settings in direct public service as well as working with diverse clients. She provides psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, and existential therapy.

Lyndia is certified in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT). She has worked with youth who experienced severe complex trauma for many years. She also had the opportunity to work with adults and young adults who have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS providing psychotherapy, community resources, and support. Lyndia’s areas of interest are to help individuals who find themselves facing obstacles or barriers in their lives to understand that that the size of the problem is not to be the focus, it is the courage/strength we gain during the time to deal with the problem that counts. Lyndia is passionate and committed to working/helping clients who find it difficult to work through phases of life problems and other related distress. She is naturally empathic, and engages interpersonal style, and is very perceptive of clients’ emotions, motivations, and needs. She exhibits a high degree of dedication to the population/clients she serves. She is skilled at building productive therapeutic relationships necessary to overcome the challenges. She hopes to use her skills and expertise to help each client navigate through life by using different skills/techniques to help alleviate challenges as well as to help them overcome obstacles to move forward and thrive. Lyndia speaks Haitian-Creole as a second language.
