Claudine Doree is a mental health professional of Haitian-American origin who grew up in Miami, Florida. Claudine followed her passion for psychology by pursuing an Associates Degree in Psychology from Miami Dade College. She furthered her education by moving to New York, where she completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology at Long Island University. During her time in New York, Claudine worked as an Assistant Program Director for the Police Athletic League in Brooklyn. Her work involved working closely with inner city youth to build bridges between law enforcement and the community, enhance leadership skills, and create programs that fostered social and emotional development.
Claudine provides individual, family, couples, and group counseling to adults, children above age 10, and adolescents. She has clinical experience across various settings, including outpatient specialty clinics, crisis intervention, and large non-profit organizations. Claudine views the counseling process as an alliance between the client and therapist. Within the structure of the therapeutic relationship, she supports clients to access their inner strengths and promote change. Claudine uses different therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psycho-Educational Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Reality Therapy.
